The technology is being scaled for the automotive industry but already featured in See-Doo's RS Series Sea Scooters supplying great efficiency, acceleration and range LI-ION batteries have a high energy to weight ratio meaning that a given weight battery stores more power than an equal weight Lead-Acid or NiMH battery. This makes them much lighter and more powerful than other types of rechargeable batteries of the same size LI-ION batteries have no issues with respects to air travel! Another great advantage to LI-ION batteries is that they have no memory effect; you don't have to completely discharge them before recharging, they retain most of their charge even in months of storage, and can easily take hundreds of charge/discharge cycles. Because of their long life LI-ION batteries are environmentally considerate and cost effective energy source for the future. 

The Automatic Buoyancy Control feature of the RS Series Sea Scooters is a self-filling ballast hull that achieves neutral buoyancy almost instantly. Strategically placed drain holes allow water to freely enter and exit the ballast space making the Sea Scooter automatically assume neutral buoyancy when submerged, and expel water as soon as it hits the surface. Fine tune your buoyancy by using the four ballast weights in any of four insertion slots. 

The Handlebar of the Scooter is the user's main navigation tool and is made of the best impact resistant material. It features smart ergonomically positioned triggers for a natural thumb position during trigger operation. Accessory D-ring attachment points and a dashboard-style LED battery status indicator for an accurate voltage display during use. The RS1 measures 12.6" x 11.8" x 24" (319 x 300 x 610 mm) and weighs 21 lbs (9.5 kg) on land and is depth rated to 130' (40 meters). The DPV is powered by a 22.2 Volt 12AH LI-ION rechargeable battery and uses 500 Watts of power. The DPV's run time on a full charge is 90 minutes and can obtain a speed of 4.35 mph (7 km/h). Recharge time is 7 hours and the unit has 3 gears. The RS1 comes equipped with the battery, 4 ballast weights, 2 glide fins and a carry strap.

The Seascooter™ RS introduces the first LI-ION battery system in a lightweight recreational DPV. It is also removable for external charging and simple battery replacement. MAXIMIZING YOUR RS
While RS1’s battery is the most powerful; RS2 can be upgraded easily by plugging in a RS1 battery. RS3 can be upgraded by fitting in either RS2 or RS1 battery to individual’s interest.

Simply insert the charger jack into the charging port to start recharging the battery without removing it from the unit. Clean and hassle-free.
